The Drabblecast -Five Ways to Fall in Love on Planet Porcelain

This is an illustration for The Drabblecast that should be coming up in the next couple of days, for a story by Cat Rambo.  (which you can now read here)
Here are some of the search terms I used on Google to gather reference for the story: milagros, porcelain doll parts, the Wailing Wall, Ankor Wat, artificial limbs.

I'm glad that Google exists and that my local library has an automated checkout system. It saves a lot of strange looks from librarians.

Drabblecast illustration

The colours and the tree frog worked OK. Not too pleased with the figures as I found it difficult to give them enough detail , but I wanted the main focus on the forest rather than the characters. Annoying.

Witchcraft in the Harem

Another reclamation Drabblecast illustration, this time for Witchcraft in the Harem by Aliya Whitely. You can read a text version here. It's trippy.

The Tiger Fortune Princess

The Drabblecast are looking for new artwork for their back catalogue. This is an illustration for Episode 57-The Tiger Fortune Princess by Eugie Foster. You can download the archives here or buy her anthology Returning My Sister's Face, And Other Far Eastern Tales of Whimsy and Malice

The illustration has a (semi)hidden dragon. The crouching tiger I originally planned didn't work out.

Drabblecast People's Choice Awards

I've been nominated for the Drabblecast People's Choice Awards (Episode Art) for my illustrations Funeral Song For A Ventriloquist and Once A Month on a Sunday. You can look at the other contestants and , more importantly, vote for me here. The Drabblecast is a science fiction podcast which is very cool and worth listening t, though if you're on my website, chances are you might already.

Cheers
Caroline

Once a Month

Chapter art for Episode 163 of The Drabblecast , Once a month, on a sunday by Ian McHugh.
Unfortunately I drew this illustration way too big and had to crop it quite radically. You can see the final version on their website, which you should check out anyway because it's amazing.
