The wood in July

This is the same wood which I sketched back in January. It's a lot warmer now. I tried to think more about line direction in the top sketch, I went to a Studio Ghibli layout art exhibition in Hong Kong a few weeks ago and the expressiveness and economy of line in simple pencil drawings were inspiring.  

Most of the chickens got eaten by a fox, unfortunately. The bees are still going strong.

Coventry Town hall

Back in Coventry again. This is a picture of the Town Hall (you can see the clock on the top left of the central tower) On the left you can see some of the road works which I drew in December - yes, still there!
The pub on the right is Drapers, the -under-new-ownership Brown's. It was briefly notorious in 2012 for being that pub which didn't serve pallbearers in military uniform.
