I've drawn out the whole of the katakana alphabet now, though I still need to process the rest and am doing pretty well on the test. Next up- the simpler kanji and more language study (so I know what I'm reading) My kanji text book suggests looking at some of the characters pictographically , so maybe this method isn't as batty as I thought.
